Assessment and Grading
Assessment and grading are challenging for teachers, students, parents, schools and districts. As we learn more about the best ways to find out what students have learned and how to communicate that to students and parents, changes will need to be made to our long-standing practices. The links below will give you access to texts and web sites that will make this transition more manageable.
Texts to read:
- How to grade for Learning by Ken O'Connor
- Rethinking Grading (Meaningful Assessment for Standards-Based Learning) by Cathy Vatterott
